I rewatched Gundam UC episode 4 for at least the sixth time, since I started it with my friend earlier but she had to leave. That’s when I noticed something:
I’d noticed it before, but I didn’t really care what it was. At first I thought it was a Zaku I Sniper under heavy shadows, then I noticed the shoulders and figured it was a Gouf or Efreet with some extra sensors. I got curious when I saw it just a while ago, so I looked it up.
It’s the MS-07C-3 Gouf Heavy Arms Type, from the original MSV. They needed an MS for a single scene, and instead of picking something that would appear in the battle at Torrington Base, they said “Hey, let’s grab another old suit and toss it in there.” And for some reason I love that.
The “gathering forces” scene in Episode 4 is one of my favorite bits of the whole series. So much zeek porn, so many awesome customized old suits.

In Ep.5, when Riddhe passes out, it took me a minute to remember: Depressurized cargo bay, then I lol’d.
Can’t wait for UC episode 6.

I think we should take a minute to think about,
the fact that when a named Gouf pilot turns up in a MSG show they are inevitably the most badass pilots you will see in that entire show.
