So I finally started the army I’ve always wanted.
Was so excited, but I just don’t have the time or effort to put into a 40K sized army to paint and junk, and I could be playing other great games from companies that don’t suck ass like GW.
Still, I was thinking about just packing it all away until I could actually do something with it.
Then I heard about the latest price hikes.

So yeah, this is going to hit ebay real soon.

Trade this in for some new Infinity stuff.
Found thing guy while digging through bits. I wasn’t sure if many of my newer followers have been introduced to Lord Fingahbangher.
Anybody in the market for a heavily converted, unpainted BT Army?
Note: This is going on Ebay, but I figured I’d spread the word on Tumblr a bit first. If you’d like to be notified when this goes up let me know. I know people on here who are into BT, so I’d hate to put this up for sale without giving them a heads up.
I’ll be taking better “for sale” pics of everything, if you’d like to see those in hi-res (ebay’s pic res is pathetic) I can email them no problem.

Plus Drop Pods, Rhinos, A Land Raider Hull, a good few metal SM Scouts with CCW/BPs, AOBR Termies, a lot of other nilla marine and bits and shit for converting, foam trays for all the bikers, and BT marines, tons of BT bits that aren’t attached to anything, and my old BT codex which is about to fall apart, pages aren’t torn or fucked up though.

Who are these schmucks?
It’s a “war council” of sorts. Walking through the corridors of the Chronos, the Colonel conferring with the Astartes assigned to his regiment as advisors.
The characters in these are from left to right:
Astartes
Chosen Gistavus: Flamer specialist and one of Warsmith Todt’s original warband members. He’s not an arsonist, in fact relying more on the psychological terror effects of flame-throwers.
Chosen Reinhart: Melta specialist and sword-fighter. His honour is loyalty, but to what exactly, no one really knows. Except maybe Todt. Not too happy to be named advisor to the Steel Legion, but as the Warsmith commands, he follows.
Chosen Havoc Tawreich Io: Of the original lot of the 14th Grand Company. For being an Olympian, he’s quite outward going, and seems content with the mortals, if a bit exasperated at their short-comings at target practice. Here seen without his autocannon, for once, but with his thunder hammer on his back. Considered the true inheritor of the title “Warchitect” after Warsmith Arno.
Mortals
The Colonel: Commander-in-chief of the 88th Armageddon Steel Legion. Hears drums in his head. The drums of war, he claims. Could just be regular insanity. Trust him though, he’s got it under control. Mostly. Lacks half his face, hence the gasmask-wearing. Uses an inferno pistol gifted to him from Warsmith Todt.
Lieutenant Dietrich Hoss: ADC to the Colonel. General busybody and regimental standard bearer. Is never seen without his dataslate and stylus. Can take eyes out with the last one. True fax. Carries a bolt pistol.
Vox-corporal Gertrude ‘Trudi’ Ipswitz: The Colonel’s personal vox-specialist. Code cracker and too curious for her own good at times. This is a dangerous thing on a ship where straying off the beaten/designated path means death. Not really a pretty woman… not any more. So many scars.
Magos Cybernetica Adalbert Sierck: Inventor of the sonic omni-tool, the info-locks and can make very highly advanced eye-augmetics (as seen on himself, the Colonel and Warsmith Todt). A bit mentally unstable because of glitches in his coding and the fact that he didn’t leave the Adeptus Mechanicus by his own volition. Sort of. Has many regrets.
Captain Vasyl Sokolovsky: The literally face-less captain of the 10th light infantry company in the 88th Steel Legion. Scout master and a bit skittish around C.A.Ts. Carries a heavily modified las-rifle as his chosen weapon, though not seen here. Very quiet, but that has mostly to do with his scorched vocal cords.
One question, why are the Steel Legion, a Loyal regiment having a war council with traitor heretic Chaos Space Marines?
Not that it really matters, this just looks awesome.

It’s always nice to see cool stuff I posed a while back come around again.

I don’t know what this is from or who the artist is but he is amazing.

My first 40k ‘army’
For a while now I’ve been workin’ on making my first 40k army, might as well post what I’ve done so far. Keep in mind that it’s all in progress.
Naturally I’m picking CSM to be my first army into the tabletop game, obviously khorne-based. Right now I’m standing on 10 Berzerkers and 1 Chaos Lord. Crunching the numbers, this is approximately 380 points give or take. Theoretically, if I have my info right, I technically have an army (1 HQ + 2 TROOPS, ‘Zerkers minimum number of units in a squad is 5). the only thing I need to do is cut away some of the white mold blotches, prime, and paint.
And here they are, the whole army, unpainted. There’s a few models I should mention.
First off is this guy. He may not appear so unique, but this guy was the first I assembled. Call it juvinile or silly, but that means something to me.
Second off is these two, who I’ve begun to nickname them “The Brothers”
Melee-Brother is based on a Berzerker model I saw on Dakka Dakka, which I wanted to recreate. Though the pose screamed DUEL-WIELDING to me, to which I did.
Bolter-Brother was made on account on what to do with the realization that because of said duel-wielding, there won’t be another chain-axe for the last guy (which is before I decided to stop at ten Berzerker instead of making all twelve). Unlike Melee-Brother, I like to think of him as the one with more composure.
Well, as much composure as a Berzerker can get.
Because the two are duel-wielding, I made sure to add a combat knife and a bolter on the hip to say that they can still technically shoot and stab respectively.
And then there’s my Skull Champion
This one originated on the idea of a Chain-Halberd. And personally, I wanted to make my Skull Champion stand out, and really none of the bits that the Berzerkers have scream out to me, so I ordered some bits online that filled my personal quota and assembled.
Upon assembling and staring at it, I noticed something was a bit odd about the guy.
The Chain-Halberd, the helmet, the chain-tassel… It all screamed Tzeentch to me. While he’s still a skull champion and will use him as such, I like to believe that he’s a tzeenchian spy.
And last but not least
My
ChaosKhorne Lord.I equipped him with a single Lightening Claw(Space Wolves with the loyalist detail welded out, couldn’t find a chaos one anywhere or where out of stock on bit sites that had them, added the icon in because the bits came with one extra) and a plasma pistol. The Puter model came with a two-handed daemon axe, but after looking though it, I didn’t see being worth it.
Honestly, regardless if Chaos Lords are good or bad on the tabletop, just having this guy doing the ‘CHAOS UP IN THIS MOTHERFUCKER’ pose makes me grin.
And that’s all of them, waiting to be primed and painted! Which, technically I do have the materials to prime and paint, but I’ll go over that little escapade next post.
Don’t forget to put the first layer of basing materiel down before you spray the base coat. I always get ahead of myself, then end up having to hand prime the basing gunk, which isn’t fun.
And while it may feel like it takes longer, shaving and filing the individual bits before assembly is usually better in the long run. Having some fine hobby-files is usually a nice thing too.
Last, but not least, don’t forget to BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!
